25 Years A Social Entrepreneur

It all started when…

On March 25th 1999, I founded TFT and embarked on my journey as a social entrepreneur. At the end of 2015, after 17 long, super rewarding years as TFT CEO, I stepped aside and spent the next years transitioning in a new leadership team. I left TFT, which by then had become Earthworm Foundation, altogether at the end of May, 2019. I have shared the story of TFT and what we achieved here.

In September 2019, I started a different way Limited, a new, this time ‘for-profit’ social enterprise with a view to offering advisory and coaching/mentoring services to clients.

In January 2021, I launched Pond Foundation to inspire strong, credible, regenerative action.

If I make it - I’ve learned to take nothing for granted - on March 25th, 2024, I will have been running my own social enterprises for 25 years. I look back with some amazement at the journey travelled to date and with pride at what’s been achieved. I have made many lifelong friends on that journey, and some enemies too.

In many ways, I feel that the journey is only just beginning. There is so much still to do and while so many struggle to make the world a better place, there are others who seem determined to do the opposite. We are not at war with such folk, but must do whatever we can to inspire a regenerative way of being. All the souls on Earth ask it of us. We must not let them down.
