Pond Foundation

Pond Foundation is my new non-profit, membership-based, social enterprise. It supports its members to take strong, credible, regenerative action. It has four initiatives:

• My Carbon Zero for climate action

• Regen21 for regenerative, 21st century supply chains

• Hilary’s Kids to support community well-being

• Earthtrust to promote credible, transparent claim verification.

Why Pond?

There are two intertwined reasons as to why the foundation is called Pond Foundation. As a boy, I used to visit a small, beautiful pond. It’s where I first developed my deep connection with nature. It was my sanctuary in tough times and I would retreat there, with my dogs, whenever I needed time to find calm and make sense of life. Later, with the work I was doing with TFT, I learned that helping leaders find their own calm amidst the chaos was a critical precursor to change. When thy were calm, they could better connect to their values, their inner wisdom and make decisions from that place. I realised that my ability to help leaders find that calm was an essential element to the many change and mediation processes I had engaged in. So it was that when I came to name the new foundation, I called it Pond Foundation in the hope that my experience finding calm could be taken to a new scale in helping leaders make decisions that will make the world a better place.
